HIP-HOP BAND JURASSIC 5 TO PERFORM AT SLU

CANTON - Los Angeles hip-hop group Jurassic 5 will perform 
in concert at St. Lawrence University on Saturday, April 5. 
Tickets, available beginning Monday, March 10, are $10 for 
St. Lawrence students and $15 for all others. They may be 
purchased on campus at the E.J. Noble University Center main 
desk (315-229-5757), the Underground and the Brewer Bookstore.
	The concert will be held in one of the athletic 
facilities at St. Lawrence; the exact venue is yet to be 
determined. It will begin at 9 p.m.
	Jurassic 5 grew out of the convergence of two different 
groups, the Rebels of Rhythm and the Unity Community. Their 
first release as Jurassic 5 was the single "Unified Rebellion," 
in 1995, followed by a self-produced, self-titled extended-play 
release two years later that sold an impressive 200,000 
copies. In 1999, the group was signed by Interscope; they 
released their debut album, Quality Control, in 2000. 
Live From the Bonnaroo Music Festival followed in 2002, as 
did their latest release, Power In Numbers.
