COLUMNIST JONAH GOLDBERG TO SPEAK AT SLU
CANTON - Nationally syndicated columnist and editor of National Review Online
Jonah Goldberg will speak at St. Lawrence University on Monday, November 13, at
7 p.m. in Herring-Cole. The talk, titled "At the Intersection of Politics and
Pop Culture," is open to the public, free of charge.
Goldberg is also a contributing editor to the print version of National Review.
In addition, he writes the popular "Goldberg File" column for National Review Online.
He is also the media columnist for the American Enterprise magazine, and a former
media critic for Brill's Content. Goldberg has appeared on television numerous times,
and is a former political commentator for CNN. He has provided commentary for "Good
Morning America," "Larry King Live," "Today," "Hardball with Chris Matthews" and the
NBC Nightly News. Goldberg was also the senior producer of the award-winning series
"Think Tank" with Ben Wattenberg on PBS.
The 2001 recipient of the Lowell Thomas Award, Goldberg is one of the first journalists
to use the internet extensively, and continues to be one of the most well-known
conservative columnists. In his talk, he will discuss American culture, politics
and national affairs. Irreverent and witty, Goldberg is as likely to quote Homer
Simpson as Homer. He offers valuable insight on the influence of the Internet on
culture and politics and is a pioneer himself in the digital information age.
