STERLING COLLEGE PRESIDENT GIVES SLU TALK ON MT. MCKINLEY

CANTON - John E. "Jed" Williamson, president of Sterling College in Craftsbury Common, Vermont, will give a slide show presentation called "Mount McKinley - A Retrospective" on Tuesday, November 15, at 7:30 p.m. in Gilbert Recital Hall, Griffiths Arts Center, at St. Lawrence University. The event is open to the public, free of charge.

In the presentation, Williamson will discuss his 40-year history of climbing on North America's highest peak. His expeditions have taken him to Alaska, Mexico, Canada, Europe, Bhutan, Tibet, China and Russia. Williamson is a guide in the Grand Tetons for the Exum Mountaineering School and is also an expert in risk management for outdoor pursuits. In addition, he is editor of the annual Accidents in North American Mountaineering.
