POET LISA JARNOT TO SPEAK IN SLU WRITERS SERIES

CANTON - Poet Lisa Jarnot will read from her recent work in an 
appearance at St. Lawrence University on Wednesday, April 7, at 
7:30 p.m. in Herring-Cole Hall. Part of the St. Lawrence Writers 
Series, the event is open to the public free of charge.
	Jarnot published her first book of poetry while still an 
undergraduate student at SUNY Buffalo. Her books include Phonetic 
Introductions (1988), The Fall of Orpheus (1992), Sea Lyrics (1996) 
and Some Other Kind of Mission (1996). Jarnot is the co-editor of 
An Anthology of New (American) Poets (1998).
	In addition to editing The Poetry Project Newsletter in 
New York, Jarnot teaches at Long Island University. She received 
an MFA from Brown University.
