'JAPAN GIRLS NITE' TOUR PLANS SLU STOP

CANTON – The Japan Girls Nite U.S. Tour 2005, a performance by four 
all-girl rock groups from Japan, will be at St. Lawrence University on 
Wednesday, March 23, in the Underground, Noble University Center. 
Doors open at 9 p.m. and the performance, open to the public, free 
of charge, begins at 9:30 p.m.
	Performing will be Titan Go King's, Tsushimamire, Puppypet 
and The Emeralds. 
	Titan Go King's are described as a "girls garage/surf punk trio"; 
Tsushimamire is a "Japanesque girls progressive rock trio"; Puppypet 
includes a set of twins on vocals, with a "mixture of Japanese melody 
and punk"; The Emeralds are "a rock-and-roll Samurai band."
	The tour's appearance at St. Lawrence is supported by a grant 
from the Freeman Foundation to St. Lawrence University's Asian Studies
