Mountaineer/Photographer Jake Norton To Speak At St. Lawrence

CANTON - Nationally recognized mountaineering guide and professional photographer/videographer Jake Norton will give a talk at St. Lawrence University on Monday, March 22, at 7 p.m. in Eben Holden, titled "Climb Your Everest." The event is open to the public, free of charge.

The two-hour multi-media presentation focuses on motivating individuals to reach for high goals in their lives. Included is the 1999 Norton-led ascent of Mt. Everest during which the body of explorer George Mallory - last sighted on Everest in 1924 - was discovered. In relating this and other endeavors in which he has been involved, Norton allows the audience to discover the personal summits that individuals both climb and reach.
