SLU Student Group Of 'Canton Ambassadors' Offers 'Island Jam'

CANTON - An afternoon of musical performances, aimed at bringing together area residents and college students, will be held on Saturday, September 26, from 4 to 7:30 at Willow Island Park. The Island Jam is open to everyone, free of charge, and follows events taking place in Canton for the Frederic Remington Arts Festival.

Performers for the event include Phil Cohen and the Radio Bob Band.

Island Jam is organized by a student group, Canton Ambassadors, who work with the Chamber of Commerce and area businesses to promote positive interaction between community residents and students. Alex Showerman, a senior from Grantham, New Hampshire, is president of Canton Ambassadors.
