'Fortune' Editor To Speak At St. Lawrence
Andy Serwer, managing editor of Fortune magazine, will give a talk called "Money Markets and Mayhem" at St. Lawrence University on Thursday, February 11, at 7 p.m. in Eben Holden. The event, part of the Contemporary Issues Forum, is open to the public, free of charge.

Four SLU Projects Awarded Grants By NYS Dormitory Authority
The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York has announced that four projects at St. Lawrence University are among 36 capital projects at 22 institutions approved through the Higher Education Capital Matching Grants Program (HECap). The 36 projects total more than $16 million.

'Central NY Artists' Exhibition Includes Works By Prof. Dane
Works by Assistant Professor of Fine Arts Kasarian Dane are included in the 62nd Exhibition of Central New York Artists at the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute in Utica. The exhbition runs from February 6 through May 2, and Dane will give a gallery talk on Wednesday, March 10.

Geoff Baum '10 Presents Research In Puerto Rico
On January 10-13, Geoff Baum '10, of Lockport, NY, and Physics Laboratory Coordinator Jeffrey Miller attended the 3rd ALFALFA Undergraduate Team Workshop at the Arecibo Radio Observatory, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. The NSF-funded workshop centers on research examining cool hydrogen in distant galaxies. Baum presented his SYE computer science project, conducted with Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Computer Science and Statistics Richard Sharp, titled "Numerical N-Body Simulation and Visualization" to the group, including computer simulations he created that demonstrate the interaction of massive galaxies.

Dining Services Staff Participate In Workshop On Native American Food
Doug Mattice, production manager in Dana Dining Center, and Nate Todd, catering cook, recently attended a one-day workshop on Native American cookery, held at the College of the Holy Cross and featuring featuring Chef Freddie Bitsoie from Scottsdale, Arizona. They plan to incorporate some of the information from the workshop, including recipes, into future campus dining offerings.
