SLU HOSTS FREE SCREENING OF 'AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH' IN CANTON

CANTON - A free screening of the Academy Award-winning documentary on global warming An Inconvenient Truth will take place on Thursday, April 19, at 7 p.m. at the American Theater in Canton. The screening is open to all.

A discussion will follow the film, led by St. Lawrence University Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies Jon R. Rosales and Alan Rosner, assistant professor of biology and director of the Environmental Health Science program at Clarkson University.

An Inconvenient Truth is a documentary (rated PG) on former U.S. Vice President Al Gore's campaign to make the issue of global warming a recognized problem worldwide. The film, which runs about 100 minutes, won two Academy Awards, including Best Documentary Film of 2006.
