PIANO, VIOLIN RECITAL SLATED AT ST. LAWRENCE

CANTON - St. Lawrence University Emeritus Professor of Music 
James W. Hutchison and violinist Effie Fampa Walton will perform 
in a recital on Saturday, May 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the Gilbert 
Recital Hall on campus. The event is open to the public, free of 
charge.
	The program will include pieces by Mozart, Schubert, 
Grieg and Constantinidis.
	A native of Romania, Walton studied in Bucharest, Germany 
and Greece and was a member of the first violin section of the 
Athens Symphony Orchestra from 1992 to 1998. She has performed 
in many solo and chamber music recitals and is now a member of 
the 92nd Street Y Orchestra in New York.
	Hutchison retired from the music faculty in 1984, after 
teaching piano at the University for 35 years. The annual Hutchison 
Piano Recital is held in his honor.
