ERUZIONE KEYNOTE SPEAKER FOR SLU HOMECOMING WEEKEND

CANTON -- Mike Eruzione, captain of the 1980 Olympic champion 
U.S. men's ice hockey team, will be the keynote speaker at St. Lawrence 
University's Homecoming Weekend celebrations, October 6-8.
	Eruzione's talk will be on Friday, October 6, at 7:30 p.m. in 
Gunnison Memorial Chapel. The event is open to the public, free of 
charge, but tickets are necessary for admission; tickets are available 
at the main desk of E.J. Noble University Center and the Brewer Bookstore.
	Other highlights of the weekend include dedication of the new, 
1,500-seat Leckonby Stadium on Saturday afternoon; induction of alumni 
into the University's Athletic Hall of Fame; recognition of alumni Volunteers 
of the Year; a performance by the "jock-and-roll" band Nik and the Nice Guys, 
formed in the early 1980s at St. Lawrence; as well as a variety of seminars, 
workshops and social events for returning graduates.
