SLU HOCKEY ALUMNI TO BE REMEMBERED BY FAMILY & FRIENDS

CANTON - St. Lawrence University graduates Michel Pelletier '88 and Richard
Stewart '89, both former hockey players who were lost in the September 11
attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, will be remembered by
friends and family with a series of events to be held on campus on
Saturday, March 2.
A service of remembrance will be held in Gunnison Memorial Chapel
at 1 p.m. At 2:15 p.m., Daniel Pelletier '90, a songwriter and performer
and the brother of Michel Pelletier, will perform in concert in Gulick
Theatre. The title track from his album Songman has been included in
the soundtrack of the Fox Family Channel TV series Higher Ground.
"Songman" and another track from the album, "I Could Change," have
received radio airplay across Canada. Pelletier and his sister Kristina
have recorded his song "Past The Smoke And Dust," in memory of Michel.
A ceremony to remember Pelletier and Stewart will be held between
the first and second periods of the men's hockey game between
St. Lawrence and Vermont in Appleton Arena.
All of the events are open to the public; tickets must be purchased
for the hockey game.
