History Prof. Quoted in 'The Atlantic'
Howard Eissenstat, associate professor of history and Turkish affairs expert, was quoted in The Atlantic, regarding Turkey's President Erdogan's deteriorating relationship with the United States and President Trump.
"Erdogan puts a premium on personal relationships and, at the core, believes that relations between states are reciprocal and transactional,” he told The Atlantic.
Eissenstat is a nonresident senior nonresident fellow with the Project on Middle East Democracy think tank, or POMED.
