EXPERTS FROM SELECTIVE COLLEGES AT SLU'S HIGHER ED NIGHT

CANTON - A panel of representatives from selective colleges will participate in a discussion session on Tuesday, October 3, from 5:15 to 6 p.m. in the Augsbury Physical Education Center at St. Lawrence University, immediately prior to the Higher Education Night event, which is in Leithead Field House beginning at 6 p.m.

Representatives from a number of highly selective institutions, including Cornell University, Hamilton College and the University of Rochester, have volunteered to participate in the event, which will focus on what students can do throughout high school to enhance applications for admission. Topics to be covered include curricular choices; summer activities and jobs; and school and community activities.

Students in grades nine through 11 who may be considering application to selective colleges and universities, and their parents, are encouraged to attend the session.
