HAITIAN MUSIC, DANCE CONCERT AT SLU

CANTON -- A concert of Haitian music and dance by the Patric 
Lacroix Multicultural Dance Theater will be held at St. Lawrence 
University on Tuesday, September 28, at 8 p.m. in the Common Room 
of Sykes Residence Hall. The event is open to the public, free of 
charge.
	Lacroix, an international choreographer and group 
exercise/empowerment strategist, is known for promoting and sharing 
the soul of Haiti around the world through the tapestry of Afro-Haitian 
Caribbean dance language. Internationally acclaimed as the "Ambassador 
of Black Culture," Lacroix aims to promote cultural diversity and empower 
international students and youth to recognize and embrace their heritage.
	He is the founder and artistic director of this Boston-based 
touring dance company and serves as group exercise and dance fitness 
consultant for several health clubs and physical education departments 
at universities and colleges.
