New Book Tells History Of Ice Hockey At St. Lawrence

CANTON - The story of ice hockey at St. Lawrence University is told in a new book, titled Go Saints!, by Robert Graham. It is published by the University and available at Brewer Bookstore.

Graham, a 1961 graduate of St. Lawrence, will sign copies of the book at the bookstore on Saturday, October 17, from 2 to 4 p.m.

The eventful story of hockey at St. Lawrence, from its roots nearly a century ago through years when both men's and women's teams contested national championships, is related in the book. Also included are many historic photographers, from the first team in 1925-26, to the women's team making regular appearances in the Frozen Four in recent years. Coaches and players are profiled, and numerous statistics from the sport are included as well.

Graham, a retired teacher who earned his St. Lawrence degree in English, lives in Raymondville. The book can be ordered through Brewer Bookstore, www.brewerbookstore.com.
