ARTISTS TO CONDUCT WORKSHOPS, INFO SESSIONS AT SLU

CANTON - Contemporary realist artists Sondra Freckelton and Jack Beal 
will be at St. Lawrence University April 22 through 25, as guest artists 
conducting a number of workshops and demonstrations open to the public.
	Freckelton and Beal have visited the University often, since 
participating in a lithography print workshop conducted by Professor of 
Fine Arts Roger Bailey in 1973. Throughout the week, 12 lithographs by 
Freckelton and Beal will be on display outside Room 10 of the Griffiths 
Arts Center.
	Their schedule of public events includes:
	- Monday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m., Freckelton and Beal will present 
a slide lecture on "Contemporary Realism" in Room 123 of the Griffiths 
Arts Center.
	- Tuesday, April 23, at 1:15 p.m., in Griffths 10, Bailey will 
process and proof a new lithography drawn on stone by Beal; the work will 
continue on Thursday, April 25, at 10 a.m.
	Both artists will conduct sessions for students in several fine 
arts studio classes. Spaces in a watercolor workshop to be conducted by 
Freckelton on Wednesday, April 24, from 1:15 to 4:15 p.m. may be open;

	The events are made possible at St. Lawrence through the Jeanne 
Scribner Cashin Endowment for Fine Arts.
