OPEN FORUM ON WAR IN IRAQ TO BE HELD AT ST. LAWRENCE

CANTON - An open forum on the Iraq war will be held at St. Lawrence 
University on Wednesday, April 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of 
Hepburn Hall (Room 218) on campus. 
	This will be an interactive meeting, featuring a panel of faculty 
and administrators concerned about international issues in the Middle 
East and Islamic world. Those attending the forum are encouraged to 
bring questions and/or comments about the conflict; those in attendance 
will be given the chance to submit written questions and comments 
on note cards provided by the event organizers. These note cards 
will be read to the panelists for discussion, among them and with 
the audience. There will be no formal presentations. 
	Members of the forum panel include Associate Dean for 
International and Intercultural Studies and Professor of English 
Patricia Alden, Visiting Instructor of Sociology Abye Assefa, 
Assistant Professor of History Kenneth Church, Assistant Professor 
of Global Studies John Collins, Associate Professor of Religious 
Studies  Michael Greenwald, Associate Professor of Government Assis 
Malaquias, Assistant Professor of Government Karl Schonberg and 
Chair of Global Studies/Professor of English Eve Stoddard. Visiting 
Assistant Professor of Government Stephen Day will moderate.
