SLU Chapel Organ Recital Includes Spirituals, Music Of Civil Rights Movement

CANTON - A free "noon in the chapel" recital will be held on Friday, February 19, at 12:15 p.m. in Gunnison Memorial Chapel at St. Lawrence University. The event is open to the public and those attending are encouraged to bring a lunch to enjoy along with the performance.

The program will include spirituals and music associated with the civil rights movement. Sondra Goldsmith Proctor, organist-in-residence and conductor, will be joined by The Ad Hoc Singers, Alexandra Jacobs, Lansing Larraway, David Norenberg, Julia Pomainville and Laura Ramsey.
