Family Weekend At SLU October 2 Through 4

CANTON - Family Weekend will be celebrated October 2 through 4 at St. Lawrence University, with a variety of academic, social and entertainment events planned for students and their families.

Among the weekend's highlights are tours of campus facilities such as the Newell Center for Arts Technology and the stained-glass windows of Gunnison Memorial Chapel; a reception hosted by President William Fox and his wife, Lynn, at their home, MacAllaster House; ceremonies to induct new members into Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honorary society and Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society; a reception for honor students and their families, with presentations by student researchers; a concert by the Laurentian Singers; faculty and staff presentations and workshops; information sessions on the First-Year Program, international studies and residence life; a 5K run/walk to benefit Komen for the Cure;and a question-and-answer session with President Fox and senior staff.
