English Prof. to Deliver Talk on Author Willa Cather in NYC

Robert Thacker, Charles A. Dana Professor of Canadian Studies and English and Marcia Dawson ’48 New York City Program Director, will deliver a talk on Feb. 26 in New York City on Willa Cather’s books and letters and the influence of New York City on her work.

Thacker co-edited a volume on Willa Cather, an American author who achieved recognition for her novels of frontier life on the Great Plains, including O Pioneers!, The Song of the Lark, and My Ántonia. He wrote an essay for the volume, titled “‘Then a Great Man in American Art’: Willa Cather’s Frederic Remington.”
