SLU APPOINTS NEW REGISTRAR

CANTON - Judith A. Ehren, of Claremont, California, has been appointed 
to the position of registrar/assistant dean at St. Lawrence University. 
She will begin her duties July 12, Vice President of the University and 
Dean of Academic Affairs Thomas B. Coburn has announced.
	Ehren is currently registrar and director of institutional research 
at Claremont McKenna College. She has previously served as registrar and 
special projects coordinator at Bowling Green State University and as 
associate and assistant registrar at Cornell University. Ehren holds a 
bachelor's degree from Wells College, a master's degree from New York 
University and a law degree from the University of Toledo.
	In her new position, Ehren will have the traditional responsibilities 
of the registrar and will also serve as liaison to a project team to 
re-engineer student administrative services, including financial aid; the 
bursar's and business offices; on-line advising and course registration; 
and dining and residential services, with the goal of improved service to 
all University constituencies.
	She will replace Registrar Janet Flight, who retires at the end of 
June after a 42-year career at St. Lawrence.
