SLU TO HOLD DISCUSSION ON CONSTITUTION
CANTON - A panel discussion on the state of the United States Constitution, titled "A Forum
On the Nation's Users' Manual," will be held at St. Lawrence University on Wednesday,
September 21, at 7:30 p.m., in the Winston Room, Student Center. The event, for Constitution
Day, is open to the public, free of charge.
Panelists, and their topics, are Assistant Professor of History Donna Alvah, "Foreign
Policy and the Constitution"; SLU Democrats President Jon Cardinal '08, of Ogdensburg,
"A Student's View of the Constitution"; Professor of Government Laura O'Shaughnessy,
"Religion and the Constitution"; Visiting Assistant Professor of Government Scott
Pandich, "The Patriot Act in Constitutional Perspective"; and SLU Republicans President
Lindsey Wetmiller '07, of Shelburne, VT, "A Student's View of the Constitution." The
discussion will be moderated by Professor of Government Joseph Kling.
