SLU STUDENT PLANS BENEFIT MUSIC PERFORMANCES

CANTON - St. Lawerence University junior Erin Cianchette, of 
Falmouth, Maine, will give two musical performances on campus 
to benefit Free the Planet. Ciancette will perform her original 
piano and vocal music on Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5, from 
7 to 11 p.m. in the formal lounges of Sykes Residence Hall. 
The suggested donation to attend is $5; all ages are welcome 
and refreshments will be served.
	Cianchette also welcomes other performers, "open 
mike"-style, at the events, after 10 p.m.
	Free the Planet is a grassroots student environmental 
and political network that started in response to legislation 
enacted in 1995 that weakened environmental protections.
