NEW CHAPLAIN APPOINTED AT SLU

CANTON -- The Reverend Kathleen Buckley has been appointed 
chaplain at St. Lawrence University, beginning July 1.
	Now in her fifth year as chaplain at Skidmore College in 
Saratoga Springs, Reverend Buckley has also served as Protestant 
chaplain at Union College in Schenectady. A graduate of the University 
of Massachusetts at Amherst, she earned her Master of Divinity degree 
from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois, and 
is ordained in the Presbyterian Church.
	At Skidmore, Reverend Buckley supervises a chaplain team and 
has created a multi-faith student council and a multi-faith faculty/staff 
committee. St. Lawrence University's chaplaincy program includes 
participation in leadership development, community service, multi-faith 
understanding, intercultural competence, examination of relevant social 
issues and crisis management.
