Documentary Film 'Budrus' To Be Shown At St. Lawrence

CANTON - The award-winning 2009 documentary Budrus, about a Palestinian community organizer who unites local Fatah and Hamas members along with Israeli supporters in an unarmed movement to save his village from destruction, will be shown on Tuesday, November 8, at 7:30 p.m. in Eben Holden Conference Center, followed by a question-and-answer session with a representative from Just Vision, the organization that made the film. The event is open to the public, free of charge.

In a keynote address following the world premiere of Budrus at the Dubai International Film Festival in 2009, Her Majesty Queen Noor Al Hussein of Jordan praised the film, stating that it "gives an enormous amount of hope. It's a story which will have an impact and can help bring [about] change."
