March 23 Is Fourth Annual Brain Blast At St. Lawrence
CANTON - Have you thought about your brain lately? Celebrate Brain Awareness Week with St. Lawrence University's fourth annual Brain Blast on Friday, March 23, from 3 to 5:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Johnson Hall of Science on campus. It is open to the public, free of charge, and has fun, interactive exhibitions that are aimed all ages.
Brain Blast features students and faculty leading hands-on and interactive exhibits that highlight the wide variety of neuroscience research being conducted at St. Lawrence, to teach individuals of all ages about brain function. The goals of Brain Blast are to increase public awareness of the benefits and progress of brain research and to inspire and excite the neuroscientists of tomorrow.
Activities include demonstrations on memory, pain, sensation/perception, concussions and much more.
Brain Awareness Week is a global campaign founded by the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives, to increase public awareness of the progress and benefits of brain research. Hundreds of events take place each year all over the world.
