LA BOTTINE SOURIANTE TO PERFORM AT ST. LAWRENCE

CANTON -- La Bottine Souriante, whose high-energy music delighted
the North Country audience when they performed here for "A Prairie
Home Companion," returns to perform during St. Lawrence University's
Homecoming Weekend.
The concert will be on Saturday, September 25, at 9 p.m. in
Gulick Theatre. Tickets are required; they are free to St. Lawrence
students and $5 for general admission. Tickets are available through
the E.J. Noble University Center main desk and Brewer Bookstore at
St. Lawrence; the University Bookstore, Potsdam; and Northern Music
and Video, Potsdam.
La Bottine Souriante is made up of nine talented musicians,
fusing musical styles with a dynamic presence on stage. The energy of
the Quebec sound with the hint of a Celtic influence; the sexy drive
of salsa; and the smooth, jazzy swing of New Orleans are intermingled
to form a concert of bold and daring songs. This electrifying and
visual blend of music is solidified by the ingenuity of its skillful
arrangements which engulfs, amazes and transforms their audience to
a universe filled with subtleness of tones and sounds.
North Country Public Radio is the media sponsor for
La Bottine Souriante's performance.
	The concert is part of Homecoming Weekend at St. Lawrence;
