SLU LIBRARIES TO HOLD BOOK SALE

CANTON - The Friends of Owen D. Young and Launders Libraries 
will hold its first annual second-hand book sale on Saturday, 
September 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, September 29, 
from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the MacAllaster Room of Owen D. Young 
Library at St. Lawrence University. After noon on Sunday, shoppers 
may fill a bag with books and pay $2 for the entire bag.
	All proceeds from the sale will support the newly 
established Friends Endowment Fund. 
	During the sale, a drawing will be held for a first-edition 
of Ernest Hemingway's Across the River and Into the Trees, published 
by Charles Scribner's Sons in 1950; its estimated value is $300.
