Bone-Marrow Donor Registration Drive At SLU March 17

CANTON - A bone-marrow donor registration drive will be held on Wednesday, March 17, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Winston Room of the Sullivan Student Center at St. Lawrence University.

Representatives from www.BeTheMatch.org will be on hand to assist at the event. Becoming a member of the registry is pain-free and takes only a few minutes, including filling out paperwork, and having swabs taken from inside the cheeks.

Anyone between the ages of 18 and 60 is eligible to register.

The event is organized by St. Lawrence Class of 2013 student John "Robby" Glass, of Cazenovia, a friend of Cazenovia High School senior Taylor Matt, who is awaiting a match for a bone-marrow transplant.
