JENSEN-MOULTONS TO PERFORM ART-SONG RECITAL AT SLU

CANTON -- Stephanie and Albert Jensen-Moulton will perform art-songs
in the Gretchen Bence Young Artists Recital on Sunday, April 8, at
4 p.m. in Gilbert Recital Hall at St. Lawrence University. The event
is open to the public, free of charge.
On the program will be songs by Henry Purcell, Gerald Finzi,
Henri Duparc and Alban Berg, as well as opera duets by Donizetti and
Mozart.
A graduate of Hugh C. Williams High School in Canton, Albert
Jensen-Moulton earned a degree from Boston University School for the
Arts and continued his vocal training at the Manhattan School of Music.
His opera credits include roles in La Traviata, Dido and Aeneas and
Rigoletto, and he has sung with professional choruses in performances
with the New York Philharmonic and the American Symphony Orchestra.
Stephanie Jensen-Moulton is from Hudson, Ohio, and attended
Hollins College, receiving a master's degree in voice from Boston
University. She was recently featured in the New York premiere of
Vivaldi's opera La Griselda, and has performed a number of roles in
musical theatre.
The couple is active in arts education, teaching at Boston
University's Tanglewood Institute; Mrs. Jensen-Moulton teaches voice
at Rye Country Day School and Mr. Jensen-Moulton is the project manager
for Glück New York, a Manhattan firm that builds and restores pipe
organs. They will also be heard later this spring as soloists in
a performance of Brahms' German Requiem at the University.
The Young Artists Series was established by contributions from
the family and friends of Gretchen Bence, a 1950 graduate of St. Lawrence
and a professional opera singer, following her receipt of an honorary
degree from St. Lawrence in 1985.
