MOUNTAINEER DAVE ANDERSON TO SPEAK AT ST. LAWRENCE

CANTON - Mountaineer and photographer Dave Anderson will give a multimedia presentation, "Alaska: The Last Frontier...Images of the Amazing Wilderness of Alaska and First Ascents in the Alaska Range, the Chugach Range and Greyskull Valley," on Monday, March 13, at 8 p.m. in Room 123 of the Griffiths Arts Center at St. Lawrence University. The event is open to the public, free of charge.

The presentation depicts Anderson's expeditions to remote parts of Alaska with photos of the preparation, travel, climbing, companionship and inherent difficulties in the mountains. Anderson, a National Outdoor Leadership School instructor since 1996, is an avid climber and mountaineer. His climbing expeditions have taken him all over the world, from remote Alaska, to even more remote Pakistan and India.
