PORTIONS OF AIDS MEMORIAL QUILT TO BE AT SLU

CANTON – Ten panels from the AIDS Memorial Quilt will be on display at St. Lawrence 
University for viewing and reflection.
      In conjunction with the Capital Region Chapter of the NAMES project, 
the University will display the panels on Wednesday, November 3, from noon to 
8 p.m. and Thursday, November 4, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Laurentian 
Room of the Student Center. 
      Interested individuals and groups are welcome at the display. For more

      Last year, the global AIDS pandemic claimed over 3 million lives, and 
an estimated 5 million people acquired HIV. There are over 40 million men, 
women and children living with HIV infections, according to the World AIDS Trust.
      Established in 1987, the NAMES Project Foundation is an international 
NGO  (Non-Governmental Organization) that is the custodian of the AIDS 
Memorial Quilt.
