WORK OF NIGERIAN POET/ARTIST ON VIEW AT ST. LAWRENCE

CANTON -- Works by Ada Udechukwu, a poet and artist from Nigeria, 
titled "InMidmomenT: lines. spaces. boundaries.," is on view in the 
Richard F. Brush Art Gallery at St. Lawrence University from March 
20 through June 4.
	Udechukwu will read from her poetry on Wednesday, March 22, 
at 7 p.m. in the gallery. The event is open to the public, free of 
charge.
	The author of two books of poetry, Woman, Me and Herero, 
Udechukwu has shown her drawings and paintings at the University of 
Nigeria and the Goethe Institute in Nigeria. In 1997-98, a selection 
of her drawings was exhibited in "The Poetics of Line: Seven Artists 
of the Nsukka Group" at the National Museum of African Art in 
Washington, D.C.
