SLU TO HOLD WORKSHOP ON REPORTING ABUSE AND MALTREATMENT 

CANTON -- A program on how to identify cases of child abuse and 
maltreatment and report them to authorities will be held at 
St. Lawrence University on Tuesday, March 12, from 4 to 6:45 p.m. 
in Atwood Hall, Room 106.
        The program fulfills the training requirements established 
for nurses, physicians, teachers, school administrators, school 
counselors and other licensed or certified professionals.
        Information concerning physical and behavioral indicators 
of child abuse and maltreatment; the statutory reporting requirements 
of the New York State Social Service Law and treatment and 
prevention topics will be covered.
        The registration fee for the program is $20, payable in the 
education department, Atwood Hall. For more information, call
