SLU TO HOLD WORKSHOP IN CHILD ABUSE I.D. AND REPORTING

CANTON - A program on how to identify cases of child abuse and 
report them to authorities will be held at St. Lawrence University 
on Monday, March 29, from 4 to 6:45 p.m. in the Formal Lounge of 
the E.J. Noble University Center.
	The program fulfills the training requirements established 
for nurses, physicians, teachers, school administrators, school 
counselors and other licensed or certified professionals.
	Information concerning physical and behavioral indicators of 
child abuse and maltreatment; the statutory reporting requirements 
of the New York State Social Service Law and treatment and prevention 
topics will be covered.
	The registration fee for the program is $20, payable in the 
education department, Atwood Hall. For more information, call
