SLU TO MARK SEPT. 11 ANNIVERSARY WITH SERVICE, DISCUSSION

CANTON - A Service of Remembrance and a panel discussion will be 
held on September 11 at St. Lawrence University, marking the 
anniversary of the events that occurred on that date last year. Both 
events are open to the public.
	The service will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Gunnison Memorial 
Chapel. Its theme is "peace," and it has been designed to highlight 
The Beatitudes. The Beatitudes are depicted in the stained-glass 
windows of the chapel. Readings will be drawn from a variety of 
faith traditions, including Jewish, Hindu, Christian and Muslim.
	Following the service, at 8:30 p.m., a panel discussion 
will be held in the auditorium of Hepburn Hall, Room 218. St. Lawrence 
faculty will discuss the implications of September 11, 2001, on 
such topics as domestic and foreign policy and international 
relations.
