A new residence hall overseeing the Quad will be home to 150 St. Lawrence University students when it opens in fall 2014.

After months of discussions and architectural studies, the University has started construction of the mixed, 3- and 4-story building on the road and parking lot between the Noble Center and the Quad. The new residence hall will include a glass bridge commons area connecting the two sections of the building, a café on the first floor and many sustainability features.

The new residence hall will be located between the Noble Center and the Quad, shown here in the foreground. The new residence hall will be located mostly on what is the current street and parking lot between the Noble Center and the Quad. A new walkway, shown here in tan, could provide an open-air space for gathering and for showcasing artwork.
