I am currently a graduating senior majoring in Neuroscience with a
minor in Chemistry and a pre-medicine concentration.  During my four
years at St. Lawrence, I have taken the opportunity to get involved in
a variety of clubs and organization on campus.  I am a member of Chi
Omega sorority and was the recruitment chair for the Panhellenic
Council.  I am also an EMT for SLU-EMS, and a teaching assistant for
both General Biology and General Chemistry.  What attracted me to St.
Lawrence was the small student-professor ratio and the ability to get
involved in research as an undergraduate.  I am currently working on
an Honors Thesis with Dr. Karin Heckman through which I am studying
the potential therapeutic effects of a naturally-occuring
phytochemical, Astaxanthin, on the development of Multiple Sclerosis.
