St. Lawrence University's Newell Center For Arts Technology (NCAT) is featured
in a symposium poster session, virtually speaking.
The University is a member of the New Media Consortium,
which is hosting a 12-day symposium on the impact of digital media October 10 through
21, 2006. According to NCAT Director Christopher Watts, "The symposium is taking
place entirely within the virtual world of Second Life,
where the New Media Consortium owns a virtual campus on a private island.
As part of the symposium, there is an ongoing poster session in the New Media
Consortium campus' Huntley Ballroom. NCAT is exhibiting a poster there."
The photo above shows the poster and Walter Witte, "the alter-ego of Watts."
Information on how to visit NMC's virtual campus can be found at
their Web site.
