Sharp-eyed viewers of the recent Lifetime Original television movie
Miracle Run may
have recognized the name of a St. Lawrence graduate in the credits: Tom
Patricia '79 is the executive producer of the based-on-a-true-story
film.
Patricia, who earned his University degree in government, has over two
dozen producer credits on his resume, through his company Patriarch
Pictures. Many are made-for-TV movies, and many have been done for
the Lifetime Network. Among them is one for which Patricia was nominated
for an Emmy Award, From Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story. The
2003 film was nominated for a total of three Emmy Awards.
In an interview with his hometown newspaper, the Oneida, N.Y., Daily
Dispatch, Patricia said that what he enjoys most about his work is that
"The whole process is a challenge. You get to mix creative instincts with
business instincts, and work with very creative and dynamic people."
Works in progress by Patricia are reported to include another fact-based
film for Lifetime and a series for the Sci-Fi Network.
