Students Awarded Tanner Fellowships
Nine students were awarded Tanner Fellowships for 2013, encouraging
students "to enlarge their capacities to make a positive and
creative mark on the world by enabling them to design and
pursue educational experiences not otherwise available to
them."
The Tanner Fellowship was first awarded in 1995. It was created by the friends and
family of Tanner Cornwell, late son of Grant '79 and Peg Cornwell '79,
to honor the memory of Tanner, whose short but extraordinary
life touched many people. The Fellowship carries a stipend of $2,500
and projects must be completed by March of the year following the time
of the award. Fellows give campus presentations on their projects.
