Vice President and Dean of Student Life M.L. Petty is the coordinating presenter, with Director of Counseling Services William Burns and Director of Co-Curricular Education and Programming Kate McCaffrey, at two conferences for student life personnel.

The presentation, "Leadership Coaching at the Heart of Student Life," will be given at the annual conference of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators and the annual conference of the American College Personnel Association.

A popular current practice in the corporate field is leadership "coaching." In the interactive presentation by the University staff, the foundations of the practice are discussed, along with applications for using the practice within college communities.

Petty is also the author of the article "In Search of Authenticity: Obtain Magnificent Results with Powerful Questions," in the March 2005 issue of Choice, the magazine of professional coaching.
