Steve Goldman '13 discussing his research with conference participants |
Steve Goldman '13 presented the results of his summer physics research at a conference titled
"Star Formation and Gas Reservoirs in Nearby Groups and Clusters" at Union College in July. Funded by a National Science Foundation grant for undergraduate research, Goldman has been working with Priest Associate Professor of Physics Aileen O'Donoghue, who also attended the conference.
Goldman, of Fayetteville, N.Y., is a physics major, with a minor in mathematics. He presented research on Zwicky Cluster 1400+0949. A highlight of the conference was meeting Neil deGrasse Tyson, director of the Hayden Planetarium.
