Canton elementary school children and their "buddies" from St. Lawrence participated in Halloween fun with a variety of activities on campus this year.

The "SLU Buddies" program pairs St. Lawrence student volunteers with 48 Canton elementary and middle school children, for activities and fun throughout the year. This year, 40 of the children participated with their University friends in a pizza party, a project to make their own "goody bags," videos, trick-or-treating in Dean-Eaton and Sykes residence halls (participants had paper pumpkins in front of their doors) and a tour of a "fun house" (Alpha Tau Omega house, transformed just for the occasion). The events were planned by Dean-Eaton Community Assistants Mallory Mumford '06, of Lowville, NY, and Christine Ranney '05, Manchester, NH.
