Leif Skodnick '02 has been named director of communications for the Mississippi
Sea Wolves ECHL hockey team based in Biloxi. He was formerly director of
broadcasting and public relations for the Johnstown Chiefs hockey team, the
AA affiliate of the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning.
A native of Princeton Junction, NJ, Skodnick previously worked in public
and community relations with the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey
League in 2005-06 and spent two years in the communications department
of the ECHL. Skodnick earned his St. Lawrence degree in Canadian studies and history. While
an undergraduate, he worked on student publications, including The Stump and
The Hill News, and participated in the Thelomathesian Society, the
student government organization.
Skodnick will broadcast all 72 of the Sea Wolves' regular-season games and
all Kelly Cup Playoff games on WTNI 1640 AM, and will handle the organization's
public and media relations needs.
