Associate Chaplain Rev. Shaun Whitehead will co-direct a workshop at Union College in Schenectady October 14 and 15, for a Presidential Forum on Diversity that has gospel music as its theme.
Whitehead will direct the workshop with Lyndon Walters, of Union's Heavenly Voices gospel choir. The event will culminate in a gospel concert, featuring workshop participants, on October 15. It is similar to the "Got Spirit?" workshops that she has organized at St. Lawrence for eight years.
Previous speakers in the college's Presidential Forum on Diversity series have included poet Maya Angelou, journalist Soledad O'Brien, law professor Lani Guinier, Broadway star Anthony Rapp, actress Marlee Matlin and activist Morris Dees.
