Shari Worthington '80 received the Emerging Leader Award at the ISA Honors
and Awards Gala, held in October. The award "recognizes up-and-coming leadership
benefiting the society and its members."
Worthington is the director-elect of the ISA Management Division, which supports
ISA members from all industry segments who are involved in management as it
relates to instrumentation, systems and automation assets. She is the founder
and president of Telesian Technology Inc., providing marketing and e-business
services for the technology and manufacturing automation markets, and is co-author
of the ISA book, e-Business in Manufacturing. Worthington holds an
MBA from Babson College, a master's degree from Framingham State College and
a bachelor's degree from St. Lawrence University in
psychology and biology.
ISA is a nonprofit organization that "helps its 30,000 worldwide members and other
professionals solve difficult technical problems, while enhancing their leadership
and personal career capabilities." It is based in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
