Richard J. Baltz '74 has been appointed director of the South Texas Veterans
Health Care System. He is responsible for the daily operations of the Audie L.
Murphy Division, Kerrville Division, South Texas VA Health Care Center at
Harlingen and the Satellite Clinic Division, which includes six clinics.
He has been with the Veterans Administration since 1977, and earned his master's
degree in health care administration at George Washington University in 1978. Prior
to his recent appointment, he had been director of the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery
VA Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
Baltz earned his St. Lawrence degree in biology. He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
