With spectacular fall weather to assist, the St. Lawrence Outing Club once again
placed people on all 46 "high peaks" of the Adirondack Mountains during Peak Weekend,
September 30-October 2. In a twist, the club also managed to place people on 43 of the
46 peaks at exactly 1:50 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, in celebration of the University's
Sesquicentennial.
Peak Weekend is a long-standing tradition at St. Lawrence, organized by the Outing
Club, the second-oldest such organization at any college in the U.S. In addition to
the goal of getting people on all of the high peaks during peak fall foliage time,
the main goal of the event is to introduce students to all that the region has to
offer for outdoor recreation.
